The Fox Family Team

I’ve known Kari & Chris for a while but hadn’t seen them in a few years. As luck would have it, we recently bumped into each other in Costco of all places. 🙂 We got to talking and it turns out their real-estate team was looking to update their photos!

We scheduled a photo shoot for the entire Carolina One Plus Fox Family Team on a morning when they had a company meeting. I did a few “environmental” shots in Michael’s beautiful home where they had all gathered. And I also set up a complete studio with a white backdrop in their large game room. We had a BLAST and came away with some awesome images!!!

Headshots for CTA

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing the newest team member at Corporate Tax Advisors. CONGRATULATIONS to Liz!  The really cool part is, Liz is a friend of mine. I’ve known her for many years! In fact, she was instrumental in getting me in the door at several of the previous firms she worked for!!!

We met up on Daniel Island when she had a break between meetings. It was chilly and windy…but the sun was out and the lighting was gorgeous! So we decided to go for it. I’m so glad we did. It was so much fun catching up with Liz and capturing these beautiful images for her new firm to use in their marketing material.

All shots were made on the Nikon D5 with the Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 VR. I used an SB-5000 Speedlight off-camera to create a little rim light in some cases, or a little fill light in others. The flash was placed on a Manfrotto light stand, shooting through a 24″ EZY Box softbox.

Art Installation for Addison de Lisle

Thanks to the kind referral from my friend Leigh Webber, I had the pleasure of photographing something really cool and unique the other day!

Addison de Lisle, who is the Professor of Blacksmithing at American College of the Building Arts, was commissioned by the Unitarian Church of Charleston to create a unique piece to go in their sanctuary. He came up with this stunning beauty!

I got to be there on the day it was revealed and installed at the church. Using a Nikon D5 with a Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 lens and 4 off-camera SB-5000 flashes in various configurations, I captured a number of shots of Addison’s artwork for his portfolio. We photographed it in various locations around the sanctuary. I also set up a gray seamless backdrop by Savage for a few studio portraits of it.

It was really neat to see and photograph Addison’s sculpture. Well done sir!!!

Moffett & Kevin’s Wedding at The Gaillard

Last weekend I had the pleasure of helping my friend and amazing photographer, Josie Strong, cover Moffett & Kevin’s wedding at The Gaillard Auditorium. Check out Josie’s beautiful work at www.josiestrong.com!

Moffett & Kevin actually had TWO wedding services. They had a Sikh wedding, followed by an Indian style cocktail hour. Then they had a Catholic wedding, followed by a traditional wedding reception.

It was a long day.  But Josie and I had so much fun working together,  getting to know this beautiful couple, and capturing their amazing day!

Majernik Family at Rainbow Row

Vacationing in Charleston from Bloomington, IL, is a smart thing to do in the middle of January! Although it was only 55-degrees when I met up with Matt & Liz and their kids, they said it was only 25-degrees back home!!! 🙂

We had so much fun laughing and playing as we strolled along Rainbow Row and that historic downtown area of Charleston. We discovered lots of colorful backdrops. The kids were absolutely adorable. And we came away with some beautiful images of their family to commemorate this trip to Charleston!

Last Photo Shoot of 2020

My last photo shoot for 2020 took place yesterday. I couldn’t have asked for a more fun and friendly group of ladies to work with!!!

I met up with the 5 doctors of Mt. Pleasant OBGYN at the Dodds-Durst House across from the East Cooper Medical Facility. The property has a traditional old plantation house and a beautiful grove of live oak trees just covered with Spanish moss! We had so much fun capturing a variety of great images for them to use in their upcoming 2021 marketing campaign.

Michelle & Marquette at Charleston School of Law

To commemorate her graduation from the Charleston School of Law, Michelle & Marquette had me photograph a fun portrait session near the school campus!

I’ve known Michelle for a long time. She was so kind in hiring me to be the photographer for the South Carolina Community Loan Fund when she was the manager there. They’ve been such great clients! And I hate to see her leaving. But Michelle is moving on to bigger and better things.

Jeremy & Kyle’s Folly Beach Wedding

We’ve known Kyle from back when we were neighbors down the street from his amazing parents, Cathy & Gary. Some of our fondest memories include dinners out with their family, handing out candy together on Halloween, and sitting on their porch late into the evening on lazy summer days.  We are honored to call Cathy & Gary our friends!

When Kyle told us he and Jeremy had gotten engaged, we were SO EXCITED for them! Their relationship has blossomed and matured over the last few years. They are such a great couple. And we love seeing how incredibly happy they are together! 🙂

Although their big wedding plans got curtailed due to the pandemic, they just couldn’t wait to get married! They are saving the “BIG PARTY” for next year when things get back to normal. But last weekend they shifted their ceremony to an intimate beach-house venue on Folly Beach. While their closest family and friends gathered around them in love and support, they exchanged their vows on a gorgeous fall afternoon. With bare feet and bow-ties, touching hand-written vows, tears of joy, and the Atlantic ocean as the backdrop, it truly was a beautiful ceremony!!!

CONGRATULATIONS Jeremy & Kyle! We wish you all the best as you begin your new journey together…

Seamon Whiteside – Greenville Office

Following up on my earlier shoots for Seamon Whiteside at the Mt. Pleasant, Summerville, and Charlotte offices, this week I had the pleasure of photographing new headshots for the Greenville office!

I had so much fun meeting and photographing everyone. Even Haley’s dog, Roper, jumped in a few! Charlotte Office Headshots

One of my favorite clients is re-branding and updating their website. Their creative team had decided it’s time to get away from the more formal style of head-shots we’ve been doing, and go with something more candid and casual. I LOVE the new style they are going with!!!

Last week I traveled to their Charlotte Office to photograph their team members that are up there. It was a beautiful day. And their office afforded a wide variety of fun backdrops around it. We had a BLAST and came away with exactly what the client was looking for!
