One of the highlights of our summer is “Dinner & Photo” night with our good friends, Chris & Vicki Taylor Stein when they come to visit! Last night we had a delicious dinner at Coast, followed by a fun photo shoot as we meandered through Waterfront Park and the old French Quarter. We love these guys!!!

Vacationing in Charleston from Bloomington, IL, is a smart thing to do in the middle of January! Although it was only 55-degrees when I met up with Matt & Liz and their kids, they said it was only 25-degrees back home!!! 🙂
We had so much fun laughing and playing as we strolled along Rainbow Row and that historic downtown area of Charleston. We discovered lots of colorful backdrops. The kids were absolutely adorable. And we came away with some beautiful images of their family to commemorate this trip to Charleston!

Before Hurricane Florence hits Charleston, I had a chance to go downtown and photograph a few images of the calm before the storm. The place was a ghost town!!!

It’s been my honor to photograph this beautiful family since capturing Lisa & Clay’s gorgeous wedding celebration at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church several years ago. For this session, we decided to start out in front of St. Michael’s with its beautiful black iron gates and those old red brick walls. The circle is complete!
We then headed over to historic Washington Square Park for the natural greenery and the amazing late-afternoon light that comes flooding through that eccentric park in the heart of downtown.
For the grand finale, we couldn’t pass up the longest cobblestone street in Charleston! Chalmers Street provided a charming backdrop for some fun moments and fond memories.

Megan is such a gorgeous young lady with a beautiful spirit!
It’s been a pleasure getting to know her over the years as I photograph for the company she works for. I was so excited to finally get to photograph her yesterday. We met up at White Point Garden and had a fun little fashion shoot as we toured some of the old historic downtown areas. Then we zipped over to the Ashley River for a grand finale with the dramatic sunset!

I had the distinct honor of photographing new Business Portraits for Marie Lowery last week!
Marie was a very kind referral from Scott Falls, who’s head-shots and promotional portraits I photographed last year. Both are amazing attorneys in their respective fields, though often collaborating together together. Hannah is a beautiful young lady and star volleyball player. Her family is from Texas, vacationing in Beaufort for the holidays. Being the free-spirit she is, and marching to the beat of her own drum, Hannah decided not to do the “usual” senior portraits that all her friends were getting done back home. She wanted something UNIQUE!!! So we hashed out a plan to do all kinds of cool portraits of her in historic downtown Charleston, picturesque White Point Garden, and gorgeous Folly Beach!
We had an awesome time and captured some killer shots! Congratulations Hannah!!! And best wishes for whatever dreams lie ahead…
It’s been about five years since I photographed James & Ashleigh’s wedding. What a joy it was to bump into them as guests at Ashley & Sherrod’s wedding just a few weeks ago. And even MORE exciting was the honor of meeting their beautiful daughter and getting to photograph yet another chapter in their lives. J
