Palmetto Community Care Headshots

I always love working with the fun, friendly, and beautiful team at Palmetto Community Care!

Like many businesses in America, Covid-19 had a substantial impact on the organization. Many employees had to start working from home. Much of the operation had to be restructured. As has happened a lot these days, some staff have moved on, opening opportunities for new team members to come on board. So we scheduled a fun photo-day to update everyone’s head-shots!

Many thanks to Brad, Kim, and Richard for all their hard work organizing everyone’s schedules. It was great to catch up with old friends…and meet so many new ones!

Sheally Insurance

Sheally Insurance is going through a whole new re-branding and re-marketing phase. I was truly honored that they selected me to be their photographer during this process. We had so much fun this morning capturing a variety of different images, as well as some updated headshots for several new staff members!

Headshots for Dixon Hughes Goodman

Now that a lot more employees are working remotely, companies are realizing the importance of them having a really good headshot!

I’ve been photographing headshots for the executives at DHG for quite some time now. But with more meetings and interactions occuring virtually, they have been offering my services to other professionals in the firm.

The other day I had the pleasure of photographing updated headshots for another group at DHG. As always, we had some fun with it!!!

Sally & Vincent Folly Beach Engagement

Sally & Vincent have been married for almost 10 years. But they never had a proper wedding celebration. So they decided to have a 10-year vow renewal and host a fun celebration on The Carolina Girl yacht! 🙂

We met up for some fun engagement photos at Folly Beach County Park. It turned out to be a GORGEOUS! We had so much fun getting to know each other and creating some beautiful images together. Vincent’s heritage is from Puerto Rico. Sally’s is from Venezuela. And they have two adorable girls, who joined us for a few family photos. What a beautiful family they have!

CONGRATULATIONS on making these special plans to celebrate your 1-year Anniversary, Sally & Vincent!!! I can’t wait to be there for you on your special day.

Headshots for Elliott Davis

The pandemic put a halt to “on-location” shoots for a lot of my clients. Many firms like had employees sheltering and working from home. Plus visits from outside vendors like us were put on hold. But as folks get vaccinated and things open back up, business is slowly returning to normal!

It was so great to be back at Elliott Davis yesterday and to see their employees back in the office! Last time I was there, the place was a ghost town with only essential workers coming in. It was nice to hear the “buzz” of happy interactions and fun laughter echoing down the halls as I updated headshots for a number of new employees that have joined since things went on lockdown.

All images shot with Nikon D5 with Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 tethered to Adobe Lightroom on a Lenovo laptop. Supports and tripod provided by Manfrotto. Lighting created by 4 SB-5000 flashes bouncing through 2 Westcott shoot-through umbrellas. ISO 400, f5.0, 1/250s.

Margaret & Matthew’s Indianapolis Wedding

Anyone who knows Cami knows what a loyal and loving friend she is. She and Gereese have remained close “besties” ever since high-school. It’s been such a joy for me to get to know her and Guy through Cami, and to photograph their son Matthew through the many stages of his life. So you can imagine what an honor it was for us when Matthew and Margaret asked us to photograph their wedding!!!

Originally scheduled in Waco, TX, where they were living last year, the pandemic had other plans.  During that time, they did get married in a private ceremony in a beautiful field, with just the two of them and their pastor, Kelcey.  PLUS, they moved to a suburb of Indianapolis, IN, for a great job opportunity for Margaret!  Eventually the plans fell into place so that they could finally have their wedding celebration with family and friends last weekend!  🙂

The ceremony and reception were held at the old historic Fountain Square Theater in downtown Indianapolis.  Fountain Square was the first commercial historic district in Indiana.  Its existing buildings span more than a century of development from 1871 to the present.  Since 1928, the Fountain Square Theatre Building has anchored the corner at Shelby and Prospect Streets in Fountain Square.  It is an absolutely GORGEOUS theater with an amazing ambiance and a character all its own.  We could see why Margaret and Matthew fell in love with this beautiful venue!!!

Arriving at the Fountain Square Theater on the Big Day, there was a palpable energy about the place as staff (Brian the caretaker of the facility was awesome), family, and friends, went about their activities and preparations.  Meeting Margaret and her wonderful bridesmaids in the bridal suite, I could tell we were going to have a lot of fun.  Margaret was absolutely STUNNING in her wedding gown!  Meeting up with Matthew and his groomsmen confirmed my earlier suspicions…especially when the guys started a rowdy game of foosball!!!

The ceremony was elegant and heartfelt.  Their pastor, Kelcey, even traveled all the way to Indianapolis to partake in “Part 2”.  After the ceremony and some fun family photos, a beautiful dinner with a delicious meal ensued.  Following that was a fantastic evening of dancing and celebration as the two adorable newlyweds played games, ceremoniously cut their wedding cake, and partied like teenagers!

Please help me send out a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Margaret & Matthew!  We wish you all the best as you begin your new journey together!!!

Moffett & Kevin’s Wedding at The Gaillard

Last weekend I had the pleasure of helping my friend and amazing photographer, Josie Strong, cover Moffett & Kevin’s wedding at The Gaillard Auditorium. Check out Josie’s beautiful work at www.josiestrong.com!

Moffett & Kevin actually had TWO wedding services. They had a Sikh wedding, followed by an Indian style cocktail hour. Then they had a Catholic wedding, followed by a traditional wedding reception.

It was a long day.  But Josie and I had so much fun working together,  getting to know this beautiful couple, and capturing their amazing day!

Headshots in a Breakroom

This morning I had the pleasure of photographing headshots in a breakroom.

No, seriously, it was awesome!!! I’ve been photographing headshots for Elliott Davis for a number of years now. And I normally get stuck in a tiny office down a dark hallway. But with Covid causing most of the staff to work from home, the building was eerily empty. So I got to set up in their big, bright, beautiful breakroom instead! 🙂

Holmes Family at Timbers Kiawah

It’s been a whole year since I saw the Holmes Family. I’m always AMAZED at how fast kids grow up!!!  🙂

It was so much fun catching up with them at their home-away-from home. The Timbers on Kiawah Island is an absolutely breathtaking location. It has so many great backdrops and photo opportunities. Plus when you add three adorable kids, two proud parents, and two doting grandparents…it’s a recipe for beautiful family portraits!!!

Join me in wishing this wonderful family a Happy Thanksgiving as they spend this special time together…

Benton Family Christmas Photos

I love the holidays!!! This time of year is all about family, fun, and togetherness!

When Brittany, my beautiful friend and AMAZING model, asked if I could photograph her family Christmas photos this year, I jumped at the chance! Brittany is super creative and always comes up with such amazing photo ideas. Plus she has a delightful family that is so much fun to be around!

We had a BLAST working together at Hampton Park to capture this special time in their lives. 🙂

Kelsey and Alex are Engaged!!!

I’ve had so much fun over the last few weeks getting to know Alex via emails and phone calls.

We were working out the final plans for his surprise proposal at The Ocean Course on Kiawah Island to his beautiful girlfriend, Kelsey. I loved how every detail was so important to him. He truly wanted this to be a special moment for Kelsey.

The funny thing is, that truly magical and spontaneous moment hit him when he and Kelsey were putting up Christmas decorations in their new house. With holiday music in the background, fond childhood memories flowing through their heads, a that feeling of being “in the moment” surrounding them…he knew the timing was right! So just a few days before their trip to Kiawah, Alex asked Kelsey to be his bride…and she said “YES”!!! 🙂

The best part was, they still wanted to have their engagement photos with me on the beautiful sandy beach in front of The Ocean Course, just like Alex had originally planned. So it worked out PERFECTLY! We had so much fun together, and came away with some beautiful memories of this special time in their lives.  They are such an amazing couple!!!

Help me in saying CONGRATULATIONS to Alex & Kelsey…

Alex’ Secret Proposal to Bumi at The Ocean Course

I have a confession to make! Alex and I have been secretly going behind his girlfriend’s back to plan his surprise proposal at The Ocean Course on Kiawah Island. 🙂

Alex loves tennis. And he’s really good at it! He plays in some amazing USTA open tournaments around the country. When he found out he’d be playing in one on Kiawah Island this weekend, he asked his girlfriend to come with him and make a fun vacation out of it. In fact, he thought it would be the perfect place to ask Bumi to marry him!!!

I was absolutely delighted that he called me to ask if I would do the honors of photographing this special occasion for them. It was an absolutely GORGEOUS fall day. Alex and Bumi couldn’t have been more amazing to work with. And getting to know them during our time together, I can tell they are absolutely PERFECT for each other!!!

CONGRATULATIONS Alex & Bumi! We wish you all the happiness in the world as you begin your new journey together…
