Headshots for State Farm

Kevin’s father-in-law, Troy, was a well-known State Farm agent in Charleston. After Kevin joined the family, he followed in Troy’s footsteps, opening his own very successful State Farm office in Bluffton. Fast forward to today, and I had the pleasure of photographing Kevin’s son, also named Troy, who has joined his father’s firm. It was almost surreal to see “little” Troy all grown up after knowing his parents from before he was even born!!! While I was there, I had the pleasure of photographing a couple other fun staff members as well.

If you’re looking for a new insurance agent, I HIGHLY recommend Kevin: https://www.statefarm.com/agent/us/sc/bluffton/kevin-sevier-g738v1ys000. He has the nicest staff. And he treats his clients like family!

Premier Physical Therapy

Getting 7 staff members to smile, look at the camera, and keep their eyes open for a new staff photo is hard enough. Adding 4 dogs to the mix makes it NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE!!! But we pulled it off! 🙂

CONGRATULATIONS to Jill and her team at Premier Physical Therapy for another successful year…

Grant’s Senior Portraits at The Citadel

A couple years ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Senior Portratis for Grant’s two older brothers. They were twins! And they also graduated from The Citadel. I felt incredibly honored that Grant’s parents were so pleased with his older brother’s portraits, that they remembered me and called to book me for Grant’s portraits too!

It was a beautiful afternoon for our shoot. Grant had a great sense of humor, was super friendly, but clearly had leadership and organizational traits as well. He had some excellent ideas of shots he wanted, which were meaningful to him. And we worked quickly to be able to squeeze in 3 outfits into what would have normally been a 1 outfit session!!!

CONGRATULATIONS Grant! Whatever military project you land on after graduation is going to be lucky to have you.

College of Charleston Multicultural Graduation Ceremony

As a TCK (Third Culture Kid) myself, it was particularly enjoyable for me to be a part of the C of C Multicultural Student Union Senior Night this week! Because I was born in the Congo (DRC) and spent my formative years there, I was invited to join the MSU program when I got to Spring Arbor University. Transitioning back to America and college life was tough. The friendship and support I experienced with the MSU program at my school was extremely helpful in getting me through that process.

CONGRATULATIONS to all these College of Charleston students in achieving their dreams at the Multicultural Graduation Ceremony!!!

Headshots for Novus Architect

I had a BLAST photographing all the fun headshots for Novus Architect here in Charleston last year. So when they asked me to drive to Raleigh-Durham to do the same with their staff up there, I jumped at the chance! Especially because I love the fact that they aren’t going after traditional headshots. Their use of the canary yellow background (which is a design element of their logo), the silly poses, and the fun props, makes their photo shoots fun and interesting!!!

Novus Architects took shape in 1992 – with one architect working for one new client. Strong, long-term relationships are the heart of what they do. And they never take for granted the trust clients place in them to listen intently to their needs, craft a custom process, gather a team with the right skills and passions – and together, bring to life spaces that serve people.

Many thanks to Lydia for coordinating everyone’s schedules and making this happen!

Owls by Moonlight at the Center for Birds of Prey

Let’s see…what’s the hardest challenge we could throw at a photographer?
Hmmm…how about having a fun reception called “Owls by Moonlight”? We’ll ask the photographer to try and capture shots of owls, silently swooping over the heads of attendees, in the pitch black of night!!!
YUP…challenge accepted.

Headshots for Pierce Sloan Kennedy & Early

I’ve really enjoyed working with the friendly team at Pierce Sloan Kennedy & Early over the years! I first met them on a profile piece I was photographing of their principles for Super Lawyers Magazine. We hit it off and I’ve been photographing their attorney’s headshots ever since.

Comprised of a team of legal strategists who truly live and breathe in the space of litigation, Pierce, Sloan, Kennedy & Early LLC not only focuses on the broader legal issues you might face but also realizes the little details that could cause anxiety or stress. In other words, they focus on eliminating your legal problems so you can focus on what really matters.

Today I had the honor of photographing Graylin & Austin, the newest attorneys on their team. Graylin & Austin actually became friends while attending the Charleston School of Law together. How cool is it that they ended up at the same firm!!!

The Citadel Foundation Scholarship Donor Dinner

Last night I had the pleasure of photographing The Citadel Foundation’s annual Scholarship Donor Dinner at The Gaillard Center. It’s been my honor to photograph this event for several years now. And it’s one evening I always look forward to!

The Citadel Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, was established with the primary purpose of providing financial assistance and support exclusively for The Citadel. Founded in 1961 as The Citadel Development Foundation, the organization was initially tasked with raising money exclusively for educational purposes through the academic endowment fund. Donations to The Citadel Foundation, as it is known today, go to a variety of programs including academic scholarships, faculty support, athletic facilities, individual academic schools, program funds, and vital expenses not covered by tuition or fees. The vision of this program is to build a preeminent foundation at The Citadel for tomorrow’s principled leaders.

Many thanks to Riviere, who does an AMAZING job of organizing this incredible event!!!

Congratulations to all the award winners and inductees. And many thanks to Claire, Autumn, and the entire staff for all their hard work and dedication in making this year’s event another resounding success!!!

Christa’s 50th Birthday Bash at John Holiday Alumni Center

It was an absolute pleasure to photograph Christa’s 50th Birthday Bash at The Citadel’s John Holiday Alumni Center last weekend. I first met Christa at The Citadel Foundation event earlier this year. She was so much fun and such a joy to be around. When she reached out to ask if I would photograph her birthday party, I was so excited! It was such a fun evening and I’m so glad I got to be a part of it!!!

Jacqueline and Jason’s Wedding at Blessed Sacrament Church

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Jacqueline and Jason’s stunning wedding in Charleston last weekend. It was truly a day to remember!!! The ceremony took place at the beautiful Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where the couple exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends. The church’s timeless architecture and soft light created the perfect backdrop for this emotional event. Jacqueline was a vision of perfection in her elegant gown as she gracefully swept down the aisle. And Jason, a police officer on Isle of Palms, looked dashing in his hunter green suite as he stood by her side.

I got to know Jacqueline and Jason during their engagement shoot earlier this summer: https://chrisandcami.com/jackie-jasons-engagement-photos-at-white-point-garden/. The love between them is truly undeniable. This amazing couple met in high school. After four wonderful years together, they finally tied the knot in a celebration that radiated warmth, joy, and the kind of deep connection that only time can build. I loved capturing the little moments that spoke volumes: the way Jason’s eyes lit up when Jacqueline walked down the aisle, the quiet smiles they shared during the ceremony, and the laughter that filled the air at the reception later that evening as they mingled and danced with their guests.

Their reception at Halls Event Space was full of energy, with heartfelt toasts, delicious food, and unforgettable dancing. With Jacqueline working on Seabrook Island and Jason serving the community as a police officer, their love story is one of service, dedication, and partnership. It was such an honor to document such a meaningful day for this incredible couple!

I would especially like to thank Jason’s sister, Megan, for selecting me to be a part of Jacqueline and Jason’s amazing day. Hiring a professional photographer for her brother and now sister-in-law, was Megan’s present to them. What an incredibly thoughtful wedding gift!

Jacqueline and Jason, we wish you all the happiness in the world as you begin this new journey together!!!

Theme Party at Wild Dunes

This is always such a fun event to photograph every year!

My friend and amazing photographer, Gary Coleman, is the lead shooter, and this is his client. But it’s too big a job for one photographer to cover. In fact, he had 4 of us shooting the event this year. I was assigned to cover the preparations and the “celebrity portraits” of VIPs, once they were in costume.

Everyone was so much fun to work with…and we had a BLAST!!!
