Michele & Dominic’s Micro Wedding at Wentworth Mansion

There is something incredibly special about a micro wedding. Michele and Dominic’s intimate celebration at the Wentworth Mansion was the perfect reminder that you don’t need a large guest list to create a truly meaningful and elegant wedding day. With just their eight immediate family members present, every moment felt personal, intentional, and deeply heartfelt.

I began the day photographing their getting ready moments inside the mansion’s beautifully restored rooms. The historic architecture and soft window light created the perfect setting for those quiet, anticipatory moments before the ceremony. Michele looked absolutely stunning, and Dominic’s excitement was evident in every smile.

Their ceremony was especially touching, performed by Dominic’s brother. That personal connection added such warmth and authenticity to the vows. With only their closest family surrounding them, there was an intimacy that made every glance and every word feel even more powerful. Afterward, we captured relaxed family portraits, followed by a fun and romantic session with just the newlyweds.

One of my favorite parts of the day was exploring the historic backdrops around the mansion with Michele and Dominic. I truly enjoyed getting to know them better as we wandered the grounds, creating gorgeous images along the way. We wrapped up their portraits in the cupola, overlooking the Charleston skyline during that magical blue hour. The dramatic deep blue tones of dusk, paired with the sweeping views of over the city, made for some unforgettable images.

I photographed everything using two Nikon Z9 bodies, paired with the Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S II, the Nikkor Z 70-180mm f/2.8, and the Nikkor Z 105mm f/2.8 Micro for those detailed ring and décor shots. It was the perfect setup for capturing everything from key moments to intimate details. The quality, creativity, and diversity this setup provides is truly spectacular!

After our grand finale together on the cupola, Michele and Dominic joined their family for a celebratory dinner at the famous Circa 1886 Restaurant while I packed up. I am always so grateful when I get to do what I love, while meeting and working with such wonderful people, capturing all the special moments of their big day! Michele and Dominic’s wedding was elegant, heartfelt, and a true joy to document. Days like this are exactly why I love what I do.

Angie & Andrew’s Beach Wedding on Hilton Head Island

It was an absolute pleasure photographing Angie & Andrew’s beautiful beach wedding on Hilton Head Island last week!

Ever since they started dating, Angie & Andrew have been vacationing together at Hilton Head Island. The place holds such fond memories for them! So why not get married here?!?

The couple rented a huge beach house and invited their closest family and friends to join them. The day of the wedding was gorgeous, with a nice breeze and beautiful blue skies! Angie was absolutely stunning in her antique beaded dress. Andrew was dashing in his stylish khaki & white. They were such a sweet couple to work with.  And you could just feel the love surrounding them! Indeed their entire group of friends and family were so open and welcoming, that I felt like part of the family. I ended up staying overtime, just hanging out and chatting with everyone while the young people laughed and splashed around in the pool to cool off!

CONGRATULATIONS Angie & Andrew! We wish you all the best as you begin your new journey together…

Kristina & Rob at White Point Gardens

Kristina & Rob are the sweetest couple you could ever hope to meet!

This past weekend their wedding day finally arrived. Kristina and Rob had planned a beautiful intimate celebration, which they called the “Our Family Will Be There Elopement”. 🙂

The ceremony was held at the historic bandstand, also know as The Gazebo, in picturesque White Point Garden down by The Battery. It was a chilly day. But everyone’s energy and love warmed the park, leaving no room for the cold to enter in. Kristina was absolutely BEAUTIFUL in her elegant gown, complete with her mother’s wedding veil. After the ceremony, we had a great time photographing family portraits with all their guests. Then Kristina, Rob, and I took a stroll through the park, along The Battery, and up old historic Church Street towards the reception.

The reception was a delightful private dinner at 82 Queen. Tucked away in an upstairs room, the beautiful couple enjoyed a warm reception, a touching toast, delicious food, and lively conversations surrounded by their supportive family and friends.

CONGRATULATIONS Kristina & Rob!!! We wish you all the best as you begin your new journey together as husband and wife…

Laurie & Allen’s Charleston Elopement

Laurie & Allen are the sweetest couple in the world. Being a part of their elopement to Charleston last week was a real joy!!!

I met up with them at the Meeting Street Inn where they were staying. After a few photos, a horse-drawn carriage arrived to whisk them away to White Point Garden. Laurie & Allen were married on the bandstand gazebo in the middle of the park on a gorgeous afternoon. It was such a beautiful celebration of love and commitment!

After the ceremony, the three of us enjoyed a fun walk around some of the old historic streets near The Battery, stopping for gorgeous photos along the way. Getting to know these two, and capturing these special memories for them along the way, was a real pleasure!

CONGRATULATIONS Laurie & Allen! We wish you all the best for a beautiful new journey together!!!

April & Ed

April & Ed are married!  🙂

They got married a couple weeks ago in a private ceremony, with an intimate group of close family and friends, in the back yard of their beautiful California home. Instead of wedding photos, they decided to have “honeymoon photos” done while they were here in Charleston! It was an honor and a pleasure meeting these two, and capturing some great memories for them while we walked around the old historic downtown.

CONGRATULATIONS April & Ed!!!

Toni & Billy’s Wedding Celebration

Cami & I have been friends with Toni…well…forever! 🙂 So it was with great joy that we got to photograph her and Billy’s beautiful wedding celebration last weekend at the West Ashley Outboard Motor Club!!!

It was such a fun, intimate affair, with close family and friends gathered around to support Toni & Billy’s love for each other. Their joy and happiness was truly self-evident throughout the evening. And I must add, Toni was absolutely stunning in her coral wedding gown.

CONGRATULATIONS Toni & Billy! We wish you all the happiness in the world as you begin this new journey together…

Maniesha & Travis Part 1: Boone Hall Plantation Wedding

Maniesha & Travis are so in love!!!  It was an honor to be a part of their beautiful wedding yesterday morning at Boone Hall Plantation.  It was a simple, elegant affair in the picturesque courtyard behind the plantation house.  The touching ceremony included God’s Knot, for “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”  Many thanks to Cori of Reynolds Treasures for bringing all the details together!

Hailing from Colorado at the moment, Maniesha & Travis have traveled all over the country.  As a heavy equipment operator, Travis gets job opportunities both near and far.  Being a travel-junkie myself, I love that they are getting to see the world together.  Even their adorable son, Dallas, seem to be taking it all in stride!  🙂

After the ceremony we had a fun time exploring the plantation property, photographing beautiful images along the way.  Stay tuned for more awesome images of these two in Parts 2 and 3 of their epic elopement to Charleston!!!
