Shannon’s Nursing School Graduation Photos

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet and photograph Shannon to celebrate her graduation from nursing school at Emory University School of Medicine. It was an exciting milestone, and I was thrilled to capture this special moment in her life. We explored the scenic backdrop of historic downtown Charleston, where we made stops at the picturesque Joe Riley Waterfront Park, the charming French Quarter, and the iconic Rainbow Row. Each location offered a unique flair that perfectly complemented Shannon’s vibrant personality.

For this session, I relied on my trusty Nikon Z9, renowned for its high resolution and stunning color rendition. The camera pulled out every detail, presenting Shannon in her best light. To enhance the natural beauty of the moment, I occasionally augmented the available light with a Godox V860II speedlight, ensuring that her radiant smile and the scenic backgrounds shone brightly in the images.

Capturing these moments for Shannon was a joy, and I am honored to be part of such a significant celebration. Congratulations, Shannon, on your remarkable achievement! I wish you all the best as you embark on your nursing career.

Whitmer Family at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park

It’s hard to believe how fast kids grow up!!!

Photographing the Whitmer Family over the years has been a real joy. I remember when the grandkids were just that…little kids! Fast forward to today, and the oldest, Grace, is going to be a senior in high-school. How did that happen already?!? šŸ™‚

After a rainy, ugly weekend, the sun popped out and gave us some gorgeous light to work with. Everyone was in high spirits. And we had so much fun exploring Mt. Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park together!

Stith Family at Hampton Park

What a beautiful fall evening for a family portrait session!!!

A while back, I had photographed headshots for the law firm where Melanie works. So I was particularly delighted when she contacted me about also photographing some updated family portraits. She and Anthony hadn’t had a “real” family portrait done since the kids were little. So it was about time! They have such a beautiful family, with three amazing kids. We all had a blast, catching up and creating some memorable images for them just before the holiday season “rush” begins!

We settled on Hampton Park, with its beautiful trees and natural surroundings, as the backdrop for our photo session. I love exploring this old historic park with wonderful clients like the Stiths. It was their first time here…but I don’t think it’ll be their last! šŸ™‚

Hailey’s High School Senior Portraits

Hailey’s family has been coming to the Charleston beaches for summer vacations throughout her childhood. So it was fitting that she asked to have her senior portraits done here while they were in town!

A late afternoon shower had us worried that we might not be able to get it in. But the rains let up just a few minutes before we started, leaving us with beautiful soft light to work with!

Hailey was absolutely adorable, and such a pleasure to work with! She’s an amazing athlete, attacking soccer and lacrosse with a passion. She has an infectious smile. And she’s brimming with positive energy!

We had so much fun exploring historic downtown Charleston, coming up with a wide variety of picturesque backdrops to help make Hailey’s senior portraits unique and different from all her classmates back home! šŸ™‚
