EmergeOrtho Building for Citadel Contractors

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing a new building for Citadel Contractors!

They had completed this project in Leland, NC. Since they were very pleased with images I had made of one of their buildings in Charleston, they asked if I’d be willing to drive up and photograph this one as well. They are submitting this building for an award and wanted some really nice shots of it!

Researching the property, I realized it was right next to a Military Training Route (MTR), which military planes use for maneuvers. Knowing that would be a No Fly Zone for the drone, I mapped out exactly where that zone ended. Luckily, it only extended through half the property! So in addition to the still photos, I was able to get a few drone shots from the side that wasn’t in the No Fly Zone! 🙂

Many thanks to Jackie, Michael, and Mitch at Citadel Contractors for organizing all the details for this assignment.

Wildcat Senior Living Site Development

Wildcat Senior Living is coming to Cane Bay Plantation in Goose Creek! This will be an all-inclusive Independent and Assisted Living facility, opening in 2021.

Yesterday I had the honor of photographing aerial drone photos of the property site under developement. It’s in a beatufiul area near a main intersection at the back of Cane Bay Plantation. There are already several other excellent residential areas that are filling up quickly in this area. So it’s going to be an exciting place to live with a lot going on!

Many thanks to Jordan & John at Live Shephard for bringing me on board for this project. It was a pleasure serving you gentleman and capturing your vision!!!

K-Con Team Photos

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of photographing headshots and team photos for K-Con.

K-Con, Inc. is a Design-Build General Contractor offering turn-key construction & renovation/up-fit services, engineering, site preparation & installation. K-Con serves Commercial and Government entities in the local Charleston, SC area and throughout the United States. They proudly offer Government and Military building clients the advantages of GSA Federal Supply Schedule ordering nationwide.

I had so much fun photographing this amazing group. The really cool part was discovering how many connections we had in common! It turns out I photographed pre-school photos of one of the team’s sons. I also happen to be good friends with one of their good friends. But the biggest surprise was re-connecting with one of our first friends from when we moved to Charleston many many years ago! We had lost touch over the years. It was so neat to run into each other again!!!

I found everyone at the K-Con Team to be friendly, professional, accessible, and responsive. If you’re ever in need of their services, they will exceed your expectations!

Workshops at Howard Heights

Yesterday I had the pleasure of capturing Bill & Julie’s vision for Workshops at Howard Heights as part of an Annual Report for the SC Community Loan Fund.  From their profile at http://sccommunityloanfund.org/blog/2017/06/06/loan-closing-workshops-at-howard-heights/ we read:

SITUATION:
Bill Hussey is a custom woodworker. Bill and his wife, Julie, wanted to serve Charleston’s craftspeople by creating a shared workspace where custom makers could gather and practice their craft. The Husseys had already purchased land in the Howard Heights neighborhood and were ready to get started on construction when they approached SCCLF.

SOLUTION
Workshops at Howard Heights is situated in a neighborhood that is experiencing a rebirth, and the Husseys are committed to creating a physical space that celebrates the neighborhood’s history. SCCLF saw an opportunity to partner with a borrower who understands the role community businesses play in community development and worked closely with Workshops to finance their construction.

IMPACT
Workshops at Howard Heights is committed to honoring their neighborhood’s history while being part of it’s revitalization. Local artisans, often microbusiness owners themselves, will have a place to practice their trades. By joining the ranks of other light industrial businesses in what they call the Craftsmanship Zone, Workshops at Howard Heights is part of a movement to renew their community while fostering economic development.

Many thanks to Victoria for all her hard work in coordinating schedules, writing profiles, and making the magic happen!

New Construction Drone Photography

It’s no secret that the Charleston real estate market is on fire. Charleston is at the top of many Best Of lists, feeding the “I want to move to Charleston” craze!

Growth of the aeronautics, automotive, and tech sectors has Lowcountry area home builders working hard to build homes fast enough to keep up with growing needs. Due to the high demand, Charleston has a lower number of available homes on the market than most areas of the country. The Charleston real estate market only has a three-month supply of homes available, unlike most markets with at least a six-month supply! It’s no wonder there are so many new developments, new neighborhoods, and new construction projects going up all over town!

If you’re a home builder, this is a great time to capitalize on your share of that business. With our licensed, insured, and FAA Certified Remote Pilot, we are here to help you attract your piece of the pie through dynamic aerial drone photographs. Let us capture beautiful images of your projects today before it’s too late!!!
