Adorable Emma

It always blows me away, how quickly children grow!

Photographing the Haddens, starting way back at their engagement session, has been a real joy to me. Photographing their latest addition has been no different. Emma is an adorable, sweet, loving, little girl.

For her 8-month portrait session, Clay and I got to take her out for a fun play date. I even got to hold Emma while Clay was getting a few things out of the car. It was a bit like that movie, Three Men and a Baby…HA! We met at the Old Village Post House in Old Mt. Pleasant, wandering the surrounding neighborhoods for quaint backdrops.

Emma put a smile in my heart and a spring in my step that lasted throughout the day!  🙂

Bible Family at Hampton Park

Hampton Park is Charleston’s largest public park. It boasts an extensive floral display, giant live-oaks, long tree-lined avenues, a beautiful gazebo, and a wonderful duck pond that’s always teaming with activity. It’s no wonder this is one of my favorite locations for family portrait sessions!

This morning, I met up with the AMAZING Bible Family, who are all down here from Ohio celebrating Roger & Sara’s 50th Anniversary!  The last couple days of rain cleared up just in time for us to have a lovely morning with refreshingly cool temperatures. We all had a great photo shoot, and captured some really funny moments. Isn’t that what family is all about?!? 🙂

Many thanks to Kim for all her hard work coordinating this crazy crew! And thanks to everyone for making me feel part of the family!!!

Kellerman Family at Hampton Park

I just added Part 3 to my list of “Life’s Greatest Joys with the Kellerman’s”

1) Photograph Shelby & Jim’s Wedding at the I’On Creek Club
2) Photograph their daughter Courtney’s wedding to Will at the French Huguenot Church
3) Photograph their new son Kai’s portrait session at Hampton Park

I can’t wait to see what Part 4 brings!  🙂

Stein Family on Isle of Palms

When a little girl gives you FIVE giant hugs at the end of a shoot, you know you’ve done something right! Many thanks to Chris & Vicki for another fun annual family photo shoot. It’s always great to see you guys!  And a huge thank you to Sabrina for all the hugs!  🙂

Thomas Family at Hampton Park

After photographing Riley’s newborn photos a year ago, it was so much fun cathcing up with the Thomas Family for her 1-Year Photo Shoot at Hampton Park!!! Riley is an absolute DOLL with a smile that will melt your heart! It’s no surprise since she has some of the coolest parents ever, gets a play date with her amazing aunt every week, and spends lots of time with her beautiful grandmother too! 🙂

Romberger Family at Bottany Bay Plantation

This weekend I got to photograph one of my FAVORITE families in one of my all-time FAVORITE locations!

From Brittainy & Nate’s Wedding…to fun weekend gatherings with their entire clan, it’s ALWAYS a joy to spend time with this very special family!!!

Byars Family at Hampton Park

My last family shoot before Christmas Break came on Christmas Eve day.

I met up with Kathryn & Brent’s family at Hampton Park, just in time for the light to turn beautiful, soft, and golden. Their three adorable girls were a real treat! We had so much fun laughing and shooting that I completely lost track of time. 🙂

Not only were they a wonderful family, but Kathryn is an amazing photographer in her own right! Check out her beautiful work at Kathryn Arvanitis Photography.

As we take a short break from shooting to go and visit with our families, Cami and I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Buss Family at Waterfront Park

Thanksgiving time is a time for family!

This morning it was such a pleasure to meet up with the Buss family at Waterfront Park with that beautiful rising sun, to photograph a fun session together! Here on vacation for the Thanksgiving holiday, it was so much fun showing off our gorgeous city to them. We had a BLAST exploring the beautiful backdrops of the park, the harbor, and the surrounding French Quarter.

Thanks for the good times, Erin, Steve, Audrey, and Owen. HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you all!!!

Double Trouble Family Session

Photographing Lindsay & Tracy’s beautiful family over the years has always been a highlight of the holiday season for me. This year, they so kindly offered to split their session with wonderful new neighbors, Krista & Marc! How’s THAT for exemplifying the true spirit of Christmas!?! 🙂

We all had a BLAST on the shoot…in spite of the mozies. And I think the kids really enjoyed watching each others pose in front of the camera. I could feel little hands making “bunny ears” and silly faces over behind me to make each other laugh…muffled giggles giving away their tactics.

Happy Holidays to all my special families, wherever you might be this year!

Kristin & John’s Family at Runnymede Plantation

If you’ve never heard of A Perfect Balance Bookkeeping, you need to!  They have saved us countless hours of nashing-of-teeth and pulling-of-hair when it comes to all the taxes, licenses, and forms it takes to run your own business.

Kristin Diggett has been a god-send to us. Not only is she our GIFTED book-keeper, she’s also an AMAZING mother, and TALENTED tennis player. But the best part is, she’s also our dear friend…as is John by extension!!!

Yesterday we were excited to photograph updated family portraits for Kristin and John’s blended family. And what better place to do that than the STUNNING Runnymede Plantation?!? Many thanks to our good friend Tim for the privilege of working with such beautiful, elegant, lowcountry backdrops.

Congratulations Kristin & John…you survived yet another crazy photo shoot with Cami and I!!!  🙂

Dawson’s 1-Year Cake Smashing

I had so much fun photographing Graham’s 1-year old Cake Smashing 4 years ago. So when Whitney & Logan called to schedule Dawson’s Cake Smashing photo shoot, I was super excited! 🙂

We had a blast photographing family portraits on a gorgeous morning at a beach on Isle of Palms. Eventually we wore the little guys out and decided it was time to feed them some sugar. This is always my FAVORITE part!!!

Congratulations, Dawson…you’re a “Big Boy” now! 😉

Kiawah Island Sunrise Family Session

I had another AMAZING family portrait session with the Evans gang this year!

For something different, we decided to do a sunrise session…which was GORGEOUS!!! Being on the east coast, sunrise is the only time we get to actually have the sun on the horizon in the photos. We lucked out with some dramatic clouds. Plus there was hardly anyone else on the beach that early…so we had it ALL to ourselves!

I loved everyone’s enthusiasm and we all had a blast creating these summer memories for this wonderful family! 🙂
