Alexandre Fleuren Interiors

Another one of my absolute favorite interior designers in Charleston is Alexandre Fleuren! We’ve been working together for many years. Her style, creativity, and attention to detail never ceases to amaze me!!!

Alex has been repeatedly invited back as a contributor to the CSO Designer Showhouse. This year’s Designer Showhouse, which is sponsored by the Charleston Symphony Orchestra League, is the historic Fitch-Rivers House. The home was constructed circa 1883 as a classical Charleston Single house in historic Radcliffeborough. The property was previously owned by the Lucas family, rice planters who built the West Point Rice Mill on the Ashley River.

It was such a pleasure photographing Alexandre’s space in this gorgeous historic home in the heart of downtown Charleston. If you get a chance, I highly recommend a visit once they re-open for tours after the COVID-19 threat has passed. Also, check out more of Alexandre’s beautiful work at: www.designafi.com.

Sandra Ericksen Design

Sandra Ericksen Design is one of my all-time favorite interior designers in Charleston. I’ve been working with her for years! Her creativity, the vibrant colors she uses, and the tasteful yet unique style of her designs are always so beautiful. Plus Sandy is just a wonderful person and so much fun to work with!

Sandy has been repeatedly invited back as a contributor to the CSO Designer Showhouse. I enjoyed photographing Sandy’s room in this beautiful old home across from the MUSC campus. If you get a chance, I highly recommend a visit once they re-open for tours after the COVID-19 threat has passed.  And check out more of Sandy’s amazing talent at www.sandraericksendesign.com.

Another Beautiful Home for Solaris

Last week I had the immense pleasure of photographing another beautiful home for Solaris Inc. The incredible creativity in their designs, and the amazing attention to detail they put into their houses is astounding!!!

Tru Hotel by Hilton

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing the brand new Tru Hotel by Hilton in Orangeburg, SC for the Naman Hotel group! As always, Dexter and Kristi from the marketing team were fabulous to work with. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. And the breakfast spread they are famous for was delicious!

Home on the Marsh

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of photographing this delightful home on the marsh, tucked away in the back of Brickyard Plantation, for our good friend and amazing real estate agent, Pat Broghammer.

Indeed, Pat isn’t just a friend, she’s also OUR agent! She helped us sell our previous home, and helped us find our current one. Plus we had the honor of photographing her daughter’s wedding! Check her out at www.iwanttoliveincharleston.com. We highly recommend her!!!

Interior/Architecture Assignment for Holiday Inn Express

Last week I had a fun assignment, photographing the Holiday Inn Express at the Harbison location in Columbia. Many thanks to Dexter and Kristi at Naman Hotels for trusting me with another one of their awesome photo shoots!

Kiawah Cottage for Solaris Inc.

One of my favorite parts about my job is that no two assignments are ever the same!

I photograph a lot of “people” assignments where juggling personalities is a large part of the equation. Balancing those assignments with the more cerebral ones like architecture and interior photography is always a nice change of pace. Houses don’t talk. To capture their “good side” involves carefully calculating the best lighting, angles, and perspectives.

One of my favorite architecture clients is Solaris, Inc. They create such BEAUTIFUL houses with such unique character! They pay attention to the fine details.  Every little piece of the puzzle is considered to ensure it belongs in the design.

Here is one of their amazing projects on Kiawah Island that I had the honor of photographing recently!  Kudos to Steve on another brilliant home.  And Thanks to Julie for always being so great to work with.

Charleston Condos for Solaris Inc.

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing a couple of AMAZING downtown condos for my favorite architecture firm, Solaris Inc.

Their attention to detail, their creativity, and their ingenuity never ceases to amaze me! From TVs hidden inside antique cabinets, to TVs mounted behind bathroom mirrors…it truly is AMAZING what these guys come up with! I love photographing interior and architecture assignments JUST to see what neat ideas they’ve incorporated into the design.

Many thanks to the wonderful team at Solaris…great job as always!!!

Sandra Ericksen Design

After first falling in love with of interior design while studying at the Rhode Island School of Design, Sandy and her family returned to Charleston. She opened her boutique interior design firm over a decade ago, and has been beautifying people’s homes ever since!

It’s been a distinct pleasure of mine to work with Sandy over much of that time. I get her vision, and we really seem to “click”. With some clients, it seems to take a little time for us to get into the grove. But with Sandy, it’s always off to the races as soon as we start. 🙂

Last week, Sandy & I had an awesome time photographing a couple of her beautiful projects! It’s always fun to see where her creativity goes…

Holiday Inn – Charleston Airport & Convention Center

Over the years I’ve done several shoots for the new award-winning Holiday Inn at Charleston Airport & Convention Center.  Dan, the GM there, is a great guy and goes to our church.  Recently they asked me to put together a video montage of some of the images and post it to YouTube so potential guests could see what the interior & architecture of their facility looks like.  Here’s what I create.  Enjoy!
