Welcome to the World, Ellison Grace!

The BIG NEWS last week was the arrival of Ellison Grace to the home (and hearts) of Lori & Mike!

It’s always so special to me when clients stay in touch over the years. I’ve been photographing Lori’s family and her business portraits for many years. And I have NEVER seen her so full of joy as I did when she looked at Ellie! šŸ™‚

Ellie was absolutely adorable. She did an AMAZING job throughout her first photo shoot…even inventing her own super-star poses! One of my absolute all-time favorie newborn images is the one of Ellie on the glass table…which took quite a bit of ingenuity…and a hair-dryer!!! šŸ™‚

CONGRATULATIONS Lori & Mike! And Welcome to the world, Ellie!!!

Savage Law

The folks at Savage Law have been favorite clients of ours ever since an assignment IĀ received to photograph Andy for the cover of Super Lawyers Magazine!

The other day I had the pleasure of photographing Donald, a new lawyer with the practice, who specializes in aviation law. A military man and former pilot himself, he really knows his field from the inside out. His knowledge and experience was VERYĀ impressive. Donald, welcome to Charleston…and to Savage Law!

Mason’s One-Year Portraits at Boone Hall Plantation

It’s been so sinfully gorgeous outside this past week! What an absolutely perfect day we had for Mason’s One-Year portraits!!!

I had so much fun catching up with Ashley & Sherrod since photographing their wedding a couple years ago. What an honor to finally meet little Mister Mason, and to be able to witness what amazing parents Ashley & Sherrod have become!

I’m looking forward to watching Mason grow into a fine young man!!!

Monster Jam!!!

Cameras…check. Credentials…check. EAR PLUGS…check!!!

Yes, I had a grand old time photographing the Advanced Auto Parts Monster Jam at the Charleston Coliseum this past weekend. šŸ™‚ It was loads of fun to be a “kid” again…oohing and aahing at the amazing beasts of engineering these guys were catapulting into the air!

A Perfect Day at Boone Hall

It’s the dead of winter…but nobody told Charleston!!!

We’re having mild days, with gorgeous light, and even little vignettes of color popping up here and there. I had a fun shoot scheduled yesterday with my old friends, Ashleigh & James, who’s wedding I photographed several years ago. And it just turned out to be the PERFECT day!

We had a great time exploring areas of Boone Hall that we hadn’t seen in a while. Larkin loved keeping a watchful eye out for squirrels and birds. And we came away with some really fun photos!!!

Larkin is absolutely adorable and I can’t wait to watch her continue to grow! šŸ™‚

Allison & Tony at the French Huguenot Church

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding to end 2012 with! Last weekend I had the honor of photographin Allison & Tony’s beautiful wedding at the historic French Huguenot Church in Downtown Charleston, with my good friend Robbin Knight!

Allison & Tony are two of the nicest, most genuine human beings you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. A graduate of Clemson, Allison grew up in the Charleston area, but moved to California for a while after college. Returning to Charleston was a good decision on her part, as she and Tony began dating about a year and a half ago. Falling madly in love, they tied the knot, surrounded by their closest family and friends! Tony is a fine photographer in how own right. (Check out his fine-art images at www.charlestoncamera.com.) And with him being of Greek heritage, the reception on his family’s property in Awendaw was the most AMAZING party of the year!

CONGRATULATIONS Allison & Tony! May God Bless you as you begin your new journey together!!!

Marley’s First Snow

This Christmas we took Marley with us to visit family in Ohio. He had fun playing with his “cousins”. AND, he got to experience his first snowfall! I didn’t think it was possible, but I swear he loved it even more than he loves water!!! šŸ™‚

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Chris & Cami Photography will be closing down for the week of 12/21/12 – 12/28/12 to travel, celebrate the holidays, and be with our family and friends. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year…and can’t wait to see each of you in 2013!!! šŸ™‚

Love,
Chris, Cami, & Marley

Hilton 50th Anniversary Party

We’ve known the Hilton family for many years. And we love going to Dr. Hilton for all our dental care. It’s always such a pleasure to be a part of the special moments in their lives!

This weekend was an EXTRA special one, as Ray & Sarah celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary!!! David & Denise did an AMAZING job of organizing everything, and making sure each detail was perfect for their parents. They even spent months going through old family photos and had me put together a fun slideshow to take everyone down memory lane.

The event was held at High Cotton, which is just a wonderful venue with amazing food and attentive staff! It’s a beautiful facility with a great courtyard. I love shooting here…it’s so photogenic it makes my job easy. šŸ™‚

CONGRATULATIONS Ray & Sarah! Here’s to many more good years to come…

Stasko Family at Brittlebank Park

We are so blessed to have tons of great parks in Charleston. One of my favorite views of the sunset is from Brittlebank Park, overlooking the Ashley River.

Cami & I have been friends with the Stasko/Webber/Disharoon clan for a long time! So when they asked us to do their holiday family photo, I knew just where to go. We all had a great time, and continued the partaaay at Hubby Dee’s afterwards. šŸ™‚

Many thanks to Nicole for taking charge and organizing everyone!

Company Christmas Photo

I alwasy enjoy working with the wonderful folks at Lee & Associates! Photographing the company photo for their Christmas Card is always a highlight. After doing the “formal” photo, the guys broke out fake mustaches and everyone hammed it up for a “fun” photo…I love it!!! šŸ™‚

Executive Portraits at Clore Law Group

I love working with lawyers! Some people have this awful perception of people who practice law. They don’t realize these are just regular, nice folks…just like you and I!!! They just happen to have a very difficult profession.

The Clore Law Group is one of my favorites to work with. Last week I had the pleasure of photographing new executive portraits of Kat and Suzanna for some new marketing pieces and press releases.

As you can tell, I had great time working with these wonderful ladies!
