T-Mobile Tampa

Last week I had another really fun corporate shoot for T-Mobile! This time it was for their call center in Tampa, Florida. I love this company!!!

T-Mobile Awards Banquet

I absolutely LOVE photographing the T-Mobile Awards Banquet each year! These guys know how to throw a PARTAAAAY!!!! 🙂

It’s a pretty big production. With me providing general event coverage and the photographing the awards presentation, my good friend Gary handling the greenscreen Fashion Booth, and Cami whipping out the on-site printing…it gets a little hectic. But we always have a BLAST!!!

It’s so much fun capturing these employees celebrating their achievements, and enjoying the accolades. 🙂

T-Mobile Top Performers

T-Mobile has become one of my favorite corporate clients over the years! Everyone at the compnay is always so fun and up-beat. It’s clear they really know how to take care of their employees!!!

Each year I have the privilege of photographing their Top Performers to be used in a fun and exciting promotional campaign. I also shoot a few casual headshots of Team Leaders. Finally, I photograph candids of the friendly staff hard at work.

It’s a shoot I always look forward to!

Jackie & Jeremy’s Maternity Shoot

What an honor to have Jackie & Jeremy drive back to Charleston to have me photograph their maternity shoot! Since I was with them to photograph their wedding, it was very special for me to be with them to document this NEW chapter in their lives!

Their wedding reception was held at the historic Francis Marion Hotel. With Jackie’s creative direction, we came up with the idea to start their shoot off in the same ballroom where she and Jeremy shared their first dance as husband and wife. From there, we visited some special spots in Marion Square where some of their favorite wedding photos were taken. Finally, we wrapped up the shoot with some iconic Charleston marsh scenes at dusk.

It was so much fun to catch up with Jackie & Jeremy…and create these beautiful images of them with their unborn child.

Hadden Family at Hampton Park

The sun popped out just in time, after a gloomy rest of the week. As alway, Lisa & Clay were so much fun to hang out with. Their lives have become extra hectic with “Thing 2” now in their lives. But they are the sweetest, gentlest parents every…and handle everything with patience and grace.

It was great to finally meet Kasey, their newest addition. And of course Denver and I already have a bond from our prefious sessions together…so he was hamming it up like a pro.

We had chosen Hampton park for their photo shoot, which is such a beautifu, diverse park in the middle of town. The best part was watching Denver throw breat to the ducks as he squeed with delight!!! Kasey was more interested in “feeding time”, which I don’t blame him for. 😉

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

We stay so busy with weddings, portraits, events, and corporate assignments…that I rarely get to share my personal projects! So I though I’d post a few from a recent trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Folks often ask me “You photograph so many assignments…what do you do on your time off?!?” To which I usually reply “I take my camera and go shoot personal projects.” The truth is, being a photographer is not what I DO…it’s who I AM! I don’t just photograph images for my job, I also create beautiful images for my soul. It’s my passion. It’s just how I’m wired, I guess.

A few weeks ago Cami & I scheduled a few days off to celebrate our Anniversary. We decided to go visit the mountains…one of our favorite things to do. Using Maggie Valley as our base, we hiked, went mountain biking, had picnics, took long drives, visited with friends, and of course photographed lots of photos!

Favorite images from my travels and personal projects are available as artwork for your home or office at www.chrisandcami.com/fineart. Others are for sale in a gallery downtown called The Art Mecca of Charleston. And all the images from this trip to the Great Smoky Mountains can be found at http://chrisandcami.zenfolio.com/p974160682.

Enjoy…

Joint Base Charleston Air Force Ball

This weekend we had the honor of photographing the 67th Anniversary of the Joint Base Charleston Air Force Ball. It was such a pleasure to serve our men and women in uniform, who serve our country with their lives!  Many thanks to Cami and my friends Gary, Amy, Mary, and Stan for all your help and dedication in making it all possible.

An Interesting Corporate Shoot

One of my favorite corporate clients, Dixon Hughes Goodman, is re-doing all their head-shots and promotional material. Their marketing department came up with a really cool concept. It was up to me to make it happen!

Unfortunately, they’ve grown so big they didn’t have any place in their office for this elaborate a setup. So we set up just down the road in an empty 2nd floor of an office building that hasn’t been leased yet! Yup, you heard that right! I’m photographing company executives in an empty, un-finished building with no outlets…and I have to make it look good!!!

I love a good challenge. So armed with a Nikon D4, 70-200 f2.8, Lenovo laptop, six SB-800 flashes, 2 SB-910 flashes, Westcott soft boxes and umbrellas, a Savage TV gray background, and a host of Manfrotto stands and supports…we got it done! It was actually kind of cool. It was so fun to see everyones expressions when they first walked in the space. We all had a blast, and came up with some great shots!!!

Many thanks to Wendy for all her hard work, and for everyone being so easy to work with!

Nathan Bell invades my Secret Shooting Spot!

Yesterday evening I was “on walkabout” doing an Engagement photo shoot with one of my favorite couples EVER!  We were just walking along, having a blast, and getting some cool shots…when suddenly on the other side of an old brick wall I could hear a camera clicking away.  I peeked around the corner and who should I see by my good friend and fellow photographer, Nathan Bell of Richard Bell Photography!  Nathan’s a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor…so we both immediately went into mock horror mode…like “hey man, what are YOU doing in MY shooting space?!?”  Then we busted out laughing and introduced our couple to each other, and chit chatted for a few minutes before carrying on our separate ways.  But before Nathan could get out of sight, I enticed his couple into this zany pose with him.  It’s always fun bumping into friends while out shooting.  J

In Loving Memory

“Hi Chris,

I have been meaning to catch up with you!  I hope you and Cami are doing well, it seems like you two have been traveling a lot based on your wonderful pictures!

I wanted to let you know that Mr. Nixon (Mindy Nixon’s father, now Parker) passed away Thanksgiving morning.  They had a quick funeral for him in Florida where the Nixon’s now live, but last month they had a memorial service for him and Aaron and I made the drive up to Virginia Beach (where we are from) to attend the service.

They did a slide show of memories past and present and they had the wonderful photo that you took of him right before the Ceremony, in the slide show.  Aaron loved loved loved that picture of Mr. Nixon (Mr. Nixon was like a second father to Aaron) so I just wanted to thank you for capturing the great moments that we don’t sometimes realize are "great" moments until we need something to hold on to as far a memory or a smile.

Thank you again for your talent and sharing it with us.”

– Kelly (and Aaron)
