Caliente Ballroom is a premier dance studio in Mount Pleasant. Founded by international dance champion Artur Malakyan, it offers private lessons, group classes, wedding choreography, and social dances for all skill levels. Artur, who began dancing at age six in Armenia, specializes in ballroom, Latin, and American Smooth styles. It was such an honor to meet him last week when I was there to photograph his freshly renovated studio!!!

Jenny at Gritty Gal Marketing had contacted me about photographing this assignment for one of her clients. Harbor Contracting does some amazing renovation projects in the lowcountry…and this one was no different! Artur had a personal vision for the new space. For example, he wanted the large dance studio to feature custom-built floating wood floors designed to protect dancers’ joints and reduce fatigue. Harbor Contracting made it all happen. Everything turned out AMAZING!!!
