One of the things I love most about being a professional photographer is that my camera often opens doors to some pretty incredible places! And this was definitely one of those assignments.

I had the distinguished honor of photographing the brand-new Baker Mercedes-Benz dealership in West Ashley for Glick Boehm Architects. Billy, the lead designer on the project, was there that morning to walk me through the building and point out some of his favorite architectural features. It’s always fascinating to hear directly from the people who envisioned and designed these spaces. I even had the opportunity to step inside Mr. Baker’s impressive office!

And I’m not going to lie… being surrounded by those amazing pieces of automotive engineering art wasn’t exactly a hardship either! The beautiful Mercedes-Benz vehicles, combined with the thoughtful architectural design and impressive showroom, made this a particularly enjoyable assignment. Too bad I was working…and not there for a test-drive!!!

I love photographing commercial architecture, new construction, and architectural designs throughout Charleston and across South Carolina. Working with talented architects and design firms like Glick Boehm gives me the opportunity to help showcase the creativity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that go into bringing these incredible projects to life. A big thank-you to Billy and the entire team at Glick Boehm Architects for including me in this project. What a fun assignment!
