Sea Island Preserve for Seamon Whiteside

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Sea Island Preserve, a beautiful residential community on Johns Island, South Carolina, for Seamon Whiteside, the engineering firm behind the project.

It’s always exciting to photograph the places that are helping shape the future of the Lowcountry. From the overall layout of a neighborhood to the details that make a community unique, these projects offer a great opportunity to showcase the planning, design, and hard work that go into creating a place people are proud to call home.

Seamon Whiteside has built an impressive reputation throughout the Southeast for its work in civil engineering, landscape architecture, and community development. Their collaborative approach to site design helps bring ambitious projects to life, balancing functionality, thoughtful design, and the surrounding environment.

As a full-time Charleston-based commercial, drone, and architectural photographer, I particularly enjoy working on projects like this. It’s rewarding to help the talented engineering and development teams behind these communities tell the story of their work through beautiful imagery. Seamon Whiteside uses my images in their social media, marketing, and other promotional material. They use them internally when writing proposals for future developments. And they showcase them in their portfolio when potential clients ask for examples of their work.

A big thank-you to the team at Seamon Whiteside for bringing me along to capture another great Lowcountry project!
