I recently had the pleasure of photographing Windwood Family Services’ annual “A Night of Hope and Healing” fundraising gala at The Grand event space in downtown Charleston. It was a wonderful evening bringing together an incredible community of supporters, all united by a shared commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and families who need it most.
Windwood Family Services does truly meaningful work throughout the Lowcountry. Their mission is to provide help, hope, and healing to children and families affected by abuse, neglect, and trauma. Through residential therapeutic programs, educational support, and community-based family services, Windwood gives troubled children the opportunity to heal, build confidence, and develop the skills they need for a brighter future. Their work also helps families navigate difficult circumstances, strengthen relationships, and remain together whenever possible. It’s the kind of work that can change the course of a child’s life, and I’m always grateful to see a community come together to support such an important cause.
The evening at The Grand was filled with wonderful moments, heartfelt conversations, and generous people who understand the importance of investing in the next generation. As a Charleston event photographer, I love capturing these special occasions — not just the beautiful details and celebrations, but the genuine connections and emotions that make them so meaningful. There are so many photographers in Charleston. I am always grateful when amazing organizations like Windwood Family Services choose Chris & Cami Photography to partner with them in this way!
A huge thank you to Windwood Family Services for allowing me to be part of this special evening. Nina was super helpful in getting me all the details, while Luanne helped point out important donors and board members. It was an honor to help document a night dedicated to hope, healing, and brighter futures for children throughout our community.
