US Grains Council Sugar Shack Gala – Montreal

The U.S. Grains Council develops export markets for U.S. barley, corn, grain sorghum and their co-products. These exports are vital to global economic development and to U.S. agriculture’s profitability.

To celebration another successful Annual Board of Delegates Meeting, a wonderful and festive gala was held at the rustic Cabane a Pierre, just outside Montreal, Canada. Logging, harvesting maple syrup, and other outdoor activities are a way of life in Canada. Each spring, it’s a common Canadian family tradition to visit one of the many “sugar shacks”, or la sucrerie de la montagne, for a day of festive fun, good food, and sweet treats!

Following this tradition, we had a wonderfully festive evening, full of music, laughter, entertainment, and wonderful food. This year’s corporate event was a HUGE success! The US Grains Council worked tirelessly for days, held dozens of meetings, listened to incredible keynote speakers, and got a lot of decisions made.  So the celebration at the sugar shack was the perfect way to top it all off!!!
