Jenna & Christopher at SC Society Hall

Christopher & Jenna are two very special people.

With big hearts, loving smiles, gentle souls, and kind spirits…you’d be hard-pressed to find two nicer humans on the planet. But most importantly, together Christopher and Jenna are absolute soul-mates!!! So it was with great honor and extreme pleasure that I got to photograph their beautiful wedding last week. 🙂

Christopher and Jenna picked South Carolina Society Hall as the picturesque backdrop for their intimate wedding. The alter was so carefully decorated with gorgeous floral bouquets. And the great hall was filled with soulful guitar music from Chris’ talented group of musicians.

Through heart-felt tears, and joyful laughter, Christopher & Jenna exchanged their wedding vows. Afterwards the three of us had lovely walk-about through the surrounding historic streets and quaint alleys for a fun couple’s shoot.

We returned to find our venue completely transformed into a reception hall, complete with excitement, energy, and dance music! With an emotional first-dance, amazing toasts, and joyful cake-cutting, we launched into a celebration of family, friendship, and undying love!!!

CONGRATULATIONS Jenna & Christopher! We wish you all the happiness in the world as you begin your new journey together!!!

Anastasia & Alex are Married at the Greek Orthodox Church

Congratulations to Anastasia and Alex!!! Their absolutely GORGEOUS wedding was held at the Greek Orthodox Church, with the reception following at Circa 1886, and home-base being the Wentworth Mansion.

With their blended international families, Anastasia, Alex, and I “clicked” right from the start. Anastasia was an absolutely STUNNING, elegant, and easy-going bride! Her Greek heritage had a lot to do with that, I’m sure. Alex was this tall handsome groom with a great sense of humor. Having recently returned from visiting his great country, I’m convinced his Australian heritage had much to do with that.

We had an absolute BLAST together on their wedding day!!! And I couldn’t be happier for these two! We wish you all the best as you begin your new journey together!!! 🙂

Larry & Joanna’s Surprise Proposal at Magnolia Plantation

Larry & Joanna first met at CrossFit. Joanna had moved from New York to Tennessee and started attending some classes at the gym where Larry was a trainer. She says he used to pick on her more than the others. Which, as we all know from our days in grade-school, when a boy picks on a girl it means he REALLY likes her!!! Am I right? 🙂

Sure enough, Joanna put out a couple vibes, and next thing you know Larry asked her out. The rest, as they say, is history!!!

Fast forward about a year and Larry knew in his heart that Joanna was “the one”. He booked a fun vacation for the two of them to charming Charleston. And he connected with me to help him capture that very special moment when he asked Joanna to be his wife.  It was such a beautiful secret proposal under a cathedral of giant oak trees at Magnolia Plantation.

I’m so honored to have been a part of this AMAZING day!!! Congratulations Larry & Joanna! We wish you all the happiness in the world as you begin your new journey together…

Andy Savage Headshots

For over 3 decades, Savage Law has taken on some of the most complex, high profile criminal cases in the Lowcountry!

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of photographing some new executive portraits for Andy Savage. I’ve been photographing for this law firm over the last decade. It was great to see everyone again and to create these new head-shots for Mr. Savage!

Headshots for Dixon Hughes Goodman

As tax season approaches, what better way to liven up an accountant’s day than to schedule head-shots one morning, right?!?

Our photo sessions are always fun and entertaining. A good business portrait should look professional. But a GREAT business portrait should also have a sense of genuine humanity. I like to banter with my subjects to get a feel for their personality, drawing out the essence of who they really are underneath. That way their portrait isn’t just an empty “likeness” of them…but a true portrayal of who they are!  Their smiles aren’t fake.  They look natural and relaxed.  They look confident, kind, and approachable.

Yesterday we had our annual portrait day at the Dixon Hughes Goodman accounting firm to photographing new team members. Here are a few favorites, including my silly selfie to test the lights at the beginning of the shoot.  Plus I threw in some of the funny “out-takes” while we were goofing off!  🙂

If your company is looking for new head-shots, but you don’t want a boring, stuffy photo session that makes the experience a drudgery, give us a call!

Trident Medical Center Service Awards

One of my absolute favorite events to photograph each year is the Trident Health Service Awards, rewarding top employees for outstanding service!!!

“One of the greatest assets we have at Trident Health is our talented team of people who carry out our daily mission of creating a caring environment where healing occurs,” said Trident Health Chief Executive Officer Todd Gallati. “Our patients are at the center of everything we do, and outstanding individuals like these are the reason Trident Health continues to rank among the nation’s top performing hospitals.”

I photographed the program with a Nikon D5, a Nikon D850, the “Holy Trinity” of Nikkor lenses, and 10 Nikon Speedlights!

Hayes Family at Hampton Park

One of my favorite parts about being a photographer for so many years, is watching families grow!

I’ve known the Hayes family for many many years! I first met Connie and Richard at High-Purity Standards. At the time, their son and daughter, Scott and Megan, were in college. When Megan met Craig, I was truly honored when they asked me to photograph their wedding! When Hudson was born, it was a pleasure to meet him and photograph a NEW family portrait. This weekend, I finally got to update that portrait with the addition of their beautiful little girl, Henley!

It’s such a special feeling when my favorite friends stay in touch over the years, and allow me into their lives to capture these beautiful milestones!!!

Volvo Car Open Banner

ONLY 20 DAYS TO GO!!!

The 2018 Volvo Car Open is coming up fast! I’m so excited that one of my images of Daria Kasatkina, last year’s Champion, made the stadium banner! Now when you’re commuting home on I-526 and look over at the stadium, you can think of me. 😉

The grounds crew is in full swing to get this year’s tournament up and operational. Tons of my images from years past are already hanging up around the tennis center. And some of the main tents are already in place!

I hope to see you all there March 31st – April 8th, cheering on your favorite player. Get your tickets now at www.volvocaropen.com.

US Grains Council 58th Annual Membership Meeting

Developing Markets. Enabling Trade. Improving Lives. These are the core values of the U.S. Grains Council.

The council’s 15th International Marketing Conference and 58th Annual Membership Meeting took place at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Houston, TX.  Chairman Deb Keller, writes:
“We believe this gathering will be an excellent opportunity for you to engage directly on the most critical issues facing our Friends and Frontiers. Our A-Teams will hold their yearly in-depth sessions to help set our global strategy, and you will have the opportunity to meet directly with the Council’s international directors. The sun never sets on the efforts of these advocates to develop critical markets, dismantle trade barriers and serve our customers overseas. We hope all of our members will interact with these invaluable experts on short-term marketing opportunities and long-term demand growth for U.S. feed grains and co-products like ethanol and DDGS.”

As an international destination event photographer, it’s my pleasure to capture and document amazing conferences and meetings around the globe. The US Grains Council is one of my absolute favorites to photograph each year! With an incredibly dedicated staff, an enthusiastic membership group, and a healthy message for the world…it’s always a joy to work with this great team.

US Grains Council at The Stampede

Developing Markets. Enabling Trade. Improving Lives. These are the core values of the U.S. Grains Council.

The Washington D.C. based organization develops export markets for U.S. barley, corn, sorghum and related products including distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS) and ethanol. With full-time presence in 13 key markets and representatives in an additional 15 locations, the Council operates programs in more than 50 countries and the European Union. The Council believes exports are vital to global economic development and to U.S. agriculture’s profitability.

Last month, I had the honor of photographing the USGC’s 58th Annual Membership Meeting in Houston, TX. After three days of hard work, keynote speakers, tough debates, and intense meetings, everyone got together for a fun event at The Stampede. The Stampede is a cavernous roadhouse event space featuring country & western concerts, a massive dance floor, pool tables, armadillo racing, and even a mechanical bull ring for the brave-of-heart!

Everyone had a great time, a well-deserved reward after an intense few days!
