Stacey & Parker at the Isle of Palms Exchange Club

Parker’s email said “When we were evaluating the IOP Exchange Club as a venue for our wedding, we searched for pictures online and found a recent wedding you had photographed there…which opened our eyes to the possibilities!”

I’m so glad Stacey & Parker found those photos. And I’m so glad they ended up hiring me for their wedding!

Stacey and Parker live in Carmel, Indiana. Their first meeting was a pandemic-inspired date the day after Thanksgiving of 2020. They had met online and decided to get together for a brief outdoor walk, bundled in full winter gear. Eight miles later, they both knew that something special was a real possibility. They’ve been together ever since!!! Parker proposed to Stacey on New Years Day. 🙂

This adorable couple have family and friends that live on Isle of Palms. They visit the area regularly. They love it here, and hope to retire on IOP one day. So they decided to have a nice intimate wedding with their families and a few close friends. It was absolutely delightful! And I’m so honored they asked me to be a part of it!!!

CONGRATULATIONS Stacey & Parker! We wish you all the best as you begin this new journey together…

Dannielle & Andrew at the Isle of Palms Exchange Club

I was so honored when my friend and amazing photographer, Kim, recommended me to Andrew’s parents (who are friends with her parents) when they were inquiring about a wedding photographer for their son and future daughter-in-law.

Shortly after we all connected, I felt like Dannielle, Andrew, and I were a perfect fit. Later, when Danielle wrote me this note, I KNEW we were going to have a great time working together: “My fiance, Andrew Wallace, and I have looked through your blog and website and love the photos you and your wife take. Quite impressive. We are so happy you are available on our wedding day!”

Although they were both born and raised in California, this amazing couple met each other while living and working in Washington D.C. I mean, what are the chances of THAT?!? They then relocated to Greensboro, where Dannielle is doing important research in the long term effects of tobacco use, and Andrew is specializing in infectious diseases. They spend quite a bit of time visiting Charleston, which is where Andrew’s parents live now. Luckily for me, this is how their wedding came to be held here at the picturesque Isle of Palms Exchange Club!  🙂

After getting to know them, and photographing their engagement photos, which you can find at: https://chrisandcami.com/danielle-andrew-are-engaged/, I could tell they were a match made in heaven!

Their wedding day was a beautiful affair, intimate and relaxed, surrounded by their closest friends and family! The ceremony was held on the dock, with dolphin peacefully swimming below us, seagulls floating effortlessly in the breeze above us, and Dannielle’s dad performing a heartfelt ceremony. The weather was absolutely perfect as well, culminating in a dramatic sunset, scattering vibrant colors across the sky behind the beautiful couple. A fun-filled reception followed on the deck of the Exchange Club.  A candle-light sit-down dinner was held inside, with a special menu picked by the couple to represent the meaningful places where they have lived.

Many thanks to Taylor at Experiencing Holy City for keeping everything on track and organized.  And a huge shout-out to all the other vendors for making this day so perfect!

CONGRATULATIONS Dannielle & Andrew!!! We wish you all the best as you begin your new journey together…

#LittleDittyBoutJeffAndDiane

Diane was a former co-worker of Cami’s, a neighbor of ours down the street, and a close friend to both of us for many years. Getting to know Jeff through Diane has meant a lot to us. He is such an amazing and kind gentleman.  And he is so good to Diane! We could NOT be happier for the two of them!!!

Cami & I were absolutely over the moon when Jeff & Diane asked us to be their wedding photographers! It’s a real joy to be invited to capture any wedding. But when that special day belongs to a couple that is so close to our hearts, it makes it EVEN MORE special!!!

The morning of their wedding opened with a beautiful clear blue sky as we made our way to Wild Dunes, where Diane was getting ready. She was absolutely stunning in her simple, elegant wedding gown. I particularly loved her father’s expression when she came downstairs and he saw her for the first time!

The ceremony was held at Goldbug Island, on a picturesque lawn overlooking the inter-coastal waterway. Our friend Sue officiated the ceremony with some sweet words. The recessional, with bubbles blowing in the breeze, was a particularly exciting time for all…clapping and cheering the newlyweds all the way!

After some fun family photos, Jeff & Diane joined me on Sullivan’s Island for a few romantic shots on the beach. Then it was back to Goldbug Island for a wild and crazy reception. Lauren Moniz of Serve Catering delivered delicious treats to eat. Rob Duren, our fantastic DJ and MC, rocked the tunes that carried the chatting, dancing, and partying long into the night!

CONGRATULATIONS Jeff & Diane!!! We wish you all the love and happiness in the world as you begin your new journey together!  🙂

Julie & Howie’s Wedding at The Citadel Beach House

I can’t believe it’s been EXACTLY one year since Howie & Julie first filled out that contact form inquiring about our photography services for their wedding! A few months later I got to photograph their AMAZING e-session on Seabrook. It feels like this all happened just a few weeks ago! Where does time go?!? 🙂

I originally met Julie & Howie at a Johnson & Wales Alumni Event that I was photographing. We hit it off right away because we have a lot in common…we love dogs, the great outdoors, and hanging out with friends ALMOST as much as they do. Their cool website reads:

“It’s no wonder Julie and Howie fit together so well. They will often take off for a weekend with their dog Riley for mountain biking, hiking or camping on one of the many islands around Charleston. They enjoy taking friends out on the boat to experience the amazing sunsets that only Charleston can offer! And if Howie has any reason at all to fry a turkey, you can rest assured — he will! Truly two kids at heart, these two love to have a good time with good company!”

I had an UNFORGETTABLE time photographing Julie & Howie’s wedding. My favorite parts were Riley’s role as the ring bearer, the dramatic beach shoot, and the surprise fireworks display at the very end. After the slideshow, Click Here to see rest of the wedding photos. CONGRATULATIONS you guys!!!
