The Lamson family is a lot like mine…all spread out. In fact, some of them live in another country on the other side of the planet! But they all decided to vacation together on Kiawah Island this summer. So I was honored that they asked me to come out and capture this special time of “togetherness” for them!Ā š
What a lovely evening for a beautiful beach session with the Vida Family!!! I had so much fun playing with Andrew & Diana’s adorable kids, and capturing these family memories for them at The Sanctuary on Kiawah Island. This was their first vacation together to the low-country. And I hope it won’t be their last!
It has been such a pleasure to photograph the Schiff Family on Kiawah Island last night! Several years ago, Debbie & Russel started a wonderful tradition of having portraits made of them with their grandchildren. This year, we met at The Sanctuary on Kiawah Island on a beautiful summer evening. It was so much fun catching up with everyone and playing with their beautiful grandkids again!!!
It has been such an honor to photograph the Muro Family’s annual reunion on IOP for over a decade! This year, afternoon storms threatened to ruin our photo shoot. But Susan said we should “go for it”…and I’m so glad she did. It was AMAZING to see how big the kids have grown, and to catch up with this beautiful bunch of friendly faces. They always make me feel like part of the family!!! š
When Bernadett contacted me about photographing a “surprise” family portrait session for her parents, I knew I had to be a part of it! The last time the whole family had been together in a photo was at her sister’s wedding 10 years ago!!!
Their family was vacationing in a beautiful rental house a few minutes from the beach on Edisto Island. So I met up with them at their rental house, where Bernadett and Nicol had sprung the surprise to their parents earlier that day…much to their delight!
A few thunderstorms had passed through that afternoon…and more were predicted for later that evening. So the skies were full of character, with interesting cloud formations rolling through. But the light was beautiful! And the kids were amazing!!! Everyone was so much fun to work with. š

What a roller-coaster of emotions! It poured rain off and on all day, like someone was randomly twisting a massive spigot in the sky. Talking to Sharon every few hours, we almost cancelled the shoot several times. But ultimately we decided to give it a try. And I’m SO GLAD WE DID!!!
The skies opened up just as I pulled into their beach house on Kiawah Island. The rain had cooled things off. The lingering clouds made for an interesting sky. And the glorious sunset was icing on the cake!
We all had a blast and came away with some wonderful memories for this beautiful family and their time together!!!
It was an absolute pleasure photographing Angie & Andrew’s beautiful beach wedding on Hilton Head Island last week!
Ever since they started dating, Angie & Andrew have been vacationing together at Hilton Head Island. The place holds such fond memories for them! So why not get married here?!?
The couple rented a huge beach house and invited their closest family and friends to join them. The day of the wedding was gorgeous, with a nice breeze and beautiful blue skies! Angie was absolutely stunning in her antique beaded dress. Andrew was dashing in his stylish khaki & white. They were such a sweet couple to work with.Ā And you could just feel the love surrounding them! Indeed their entire group of friends and family were so open and welcoming, that I felt like part of the family. I ended up staying overtime, just hanging out and chatting with everyone while the young people laughed and splashed around in the pool to cool off!
CONGRATULATIONS Angie & Andrew! We wish you all the best as you begin your new journey together…
The extended Grindall family wasn’t able to make it this year. But I’m so glad Brian and his boys were still able to enjoy their annual family vacation to Kiawah Island! I know they are bonding and building amazing memories together. These will be the carefree times those youngsters will look back on as the “good ol’ days”!!!Ā š

So I was SUPER EXCITED when they called from Ohio to let me know they were returning to Myrtle Beach for a vacation, and asked if I would help them commemorate the occasion with a family portrait session? How could I say not to THAT?!?

So we decided to bring things full circle by re-visiting this gorgeous park for their family session.
The threatening weather from earlier in the day made us nervous, but passed out of the area in time to leave us a delightful evening of soft warm light to work with. I had so much fun meeting and playing with their two adorable children! Both sets of proud “grand-parents” joined us as well, which made it even more special. But the best part was catching up with Danielle and Matt! They hadn’t changed a bit since their wedding day. It was like no time had past. It felt like we had just seen each other a week ago!
Congratulations on your beautiful family, Danielle & Matt! You guys were one of my FAVORITE couples to photograph!!! And now I can say you’re one of my favorite “families” as well.Ā I can’t wait to see what amazing humans Charlie and William grow up to be.Ā š

Well, Hunter got is papers and was deployed to a submarine based on the west coast. He’s been hard at work, preserving our freedom and serving his country with honor! Now his ship is returning to port and it’s time for Sydney to join him.
Before Sydney and her mom embark on a big cross-country trip to get her moved to California, they wanted to get one last family portrait session together! We met at The Citadel Beach Club on Isle of Palms on a beautiful blue-sky day. Everyone looked amazing! We had so much fun capturing a variety of shots of Sydney and her sisters, the family together, and of course their adorable grandson, Tanner!
Sydney, we wish you all the best for a safe journey and a joyful reunion with your best friend and the love of your life, Hunter!
I had so much fun with Aimee, Chad, and their adorable kids on last year’s family portrait session! So when Aimee told me her sister’s family was joining us this year, I knew it was going to be a hoot!!! š
It was a beautiful fall evening when we all met up at a beach access on IOP. The summer heat had finally cooled off, and the lighting was magical! The chemistry between the two families was hilarious. We laughed A LOT, goofed off even more, and came away with a ton of beautiful images!!!

When Lisa called to secretly arrange for me to photograph portraits at her friend Donna’s 60th Birthday party, I was struck by what a kind and thoughtful gift that was!
Donna and her family had rented a beach house on Isle of Palms for the week. The night of the big celebration, they had a chef coming out to cook a delicious meal for all their friends and family. But before dinner, I arrived and took everyone out for some photos in the beautiful evening light!
