While we were “on vacation”, visiting family in Ohio, we had fun photographing Senior Portraits for our favorite nephew, his family, and several of his friends. We’re so lucky that our “job” is also something we love and can do anytime anywhere.

When Cami & I lived in Ohio, I remember photographing folks like Andre Agassi & Pete Sampras at the ATP Championships in Cincinnati. One of the longest running professional tennis tournaments in the country, it’s now known as the Western & Southern Open.
While we’re up here this summer visiting family and friends, Cami & I decided to attend the tournament for old time’s sake.
In the end, Andy Murray won his second Cinci title, besting Novak Djokovic who’s been playing phenomenal tennis this year. Maria Sharapova beat Jelena Jankovic for the ladies title.
We also got to see one of the best doubles matches I’ve seen in a while. #1 seeds, the Bryan brothers of USA lost a tight three set thriller to the dynamic team of Mahesh Bhupathi & Leander Paes who teamed up from India, eventually winning the title.

I had my last photo shoot for the week with the fabulous Sandy Ericksen this morning. I got there early and spotted this little guy cuddled up on one of the porch spindles.
He was only an inch long, if that. Isn’t he cute?!?
I photographed him with: Nikon D3, Nikkor 105mm VR, 1-SB900, 2-SB800s, and Radio Popper Px on Nikon CLS system.
Cami & I will be visiting family and friends in Ohio for about a week and doing several photo shoots up there. But unlike our Tanzania Trip, we’ll have email, Internet, and phone…so stay in touch!

Safari in Swahili means “journey”. It took 40 hours of buses, prop-planes, and jets…but we’re finally home from our second magical journey to Tanzania. Having been completely unplugged (no Internet, email, or phone) for two weeks, I’ve got a lot of correspondence to get caught up on. But here are a few photos I pulled out of the mix to share with everyone. I’ll post more images and stories when I have time to go through the remaining photos. Enjoy!!!
