We are truly honored and look forward to shooting many more weddings there. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Everything ran like clockwork. And it’s just such a beautiful facility to work in. I highly recommend looking at the Daniel Island Club for your next wedding or event.

Daniel Island Club
June 30, 2010Heather & Marcus in Fernandina Beach
June 30, 2010Last week Cami & I had a really cool eSession with Heather & Marcus in Fernandina Beach, FL!!! They are such a great couple…young, gorgeous, and full of energy! They’ve been dating a couple years now and last September Marcus popped “The Question”. J They are from the Jacksonville area and selected Fernandina Beach as the backdrop for their portraits. It’s such a cute little historic town with lots of texture and ambiance, plus a great view of the sunset! Here are a few of my favorites…
Tara & Will at the Daniel Island Club
June 25, 2010Tara & Will were married on a gorgeous day overlooking the marsh at the beautiful Daniel Island Club. Tara is from Aiken but moved to Charleston. Will is from Florida, but moved to Charlotte. Even though they’ve been dating for like 3 or 4 years now, Tara & Will have never really lived in the same place. They will start their new life together in Charlotte after the wedding…finally together in the same town! J

CONGRATULATIONS to Tara & Will. You guys were AMAZING to work with and I’m SO happy for you both!!!
Shawn’s Senior Portraits
June 25, 2010While we were at our reunion, my brother and his wife asked me to photograph their son’s Senior Portraits. He’d had some done back home in Oregon, but they just weren’t thrilled with them. Since Shawn is very into his music, and a killer guitar player (he performed a solo for his classmates at their graduation ceremony), we borrowed my uncle’s guitar for a prop. Shawn’s such a great kid and I had an awesome time photographing him. Maybe when he gets to be a super star he’ll let me shoot his first Album Cover….HA! J
Smith Family Reunion
June 25, 2010Our Smith Family Reunion a few weeks ago at Buck Creek State Park in Ohio was a BLAST! It was so nice to take a break and re-connect with family and friends we hadn’t seen in a while. Looks like my brothers and I are just a LITTLE OLDER than in the picture of us in the Congo from a couple posts ago at www.chrisandcami.com/blog. J
Chris Trains for World Cup Soccer
June 25, 2010The US World Cup victory the other day sure was a cliff-hanger! I never made it…but once upon a time I had dreams of playing in the World Cup (Can you tell which one is me?) J Soccer was my favorite sport growing up in the Congo (DRC). I went on to play for Kalamazoo College. Eventually weak ankles forced me to adopt a less physical sport and I switched to playing tennis. But I still have a passion for “The Beautiful Game”. These are just a couple of the images from my Dad’s old slide collection that we had scanned through www.scancafe.com. I highly recommend Scan Café. Jacci & Scott at Wild Dunes
June 6, 2010
I photographed Jacci & Scott’s wedding two years ago. It’s hard to believe since I remember their Big Day like it was yesterday! So imagine how excited I was to hear they had started a family. They were coming back to Charleston for vacation and asked if I’d be willing to do a few photos of them. Are you KIDDING?!? It was so nice to see them again, catch up, and meet little Jack. The really funny part is, they were married at Sunrise Presbyterian Church…and Jackie & Chris’ wedding last weekend was at the same location…coincidence?!? Hmmm….
Jackie & Chris at Sunrise Presbyterian Church
June 5, 2010Jackie & Chris’ wedding has been a long time coming! But through all the ups and downs of Chris’ fight with cancer, the families rallied together and victory was claimed!!! I truly believe the difficult times in life draw us closer and strengthen our bonds beyond measure. I was witness to the evidence of these bonds time and time again throughout Jackie & Chris’ wedding day. It is such an honor and a privilege to have been able to share in this special day with such an AMAZING couple!
Jackie & Chris were married at the gorgeous Sunrise Presbyterian Church on Sullivan’s Island. After the ceremony, we walked across the beach to sink our naked toes in the sand and get some fun shots of the wedding party. Then we joined the PARTAAAAY on the Carolina Girl Yacht. I always love working with Captain Bob and his crew…they are top notch and always make sure everyone has a GREAT time on board!
Enjoy Jackie & Chris’ fun Music Video at www.chrisandcami.com/blog. Then head over to www.chrisandcami.zenfolio.com to see the rest of their photos. CONGRATULATIONS Jackie & Chris. You guys are a very special couple to me and I will never forget sharing this beautiful day with you!
