High Dynamic Range Photography

November 26, 2009

High Dynamic Range (or HDR) photography has fascinated me for some time. So I finally decided to take a crack at it. It involves photographing a series of bracketed exposures of the same image, then merging them together.

I used a popular HDR program called Photomatix. Here are a couple of my first attempts from last week. Any thoughts or suggestions on what I could do different?!?

Okay, now you're just showin off! Seriously, you should mass produce this one and sell them EVERYWHERE in Charleston….. you'll make a fortune.

I Love it. I use HDRs in my 3D scenes for environmental lightning. Didn't know about this trick. I really like that :)

If you put a bride and groom either in the middle of that marsh or somewhere on the bridge, light them up with an SB900, you'll be the mac daddy.
